Timberland’s global brand president is stepping down, a company spokesperson confirmed to Fashion Dive Wednesday.
Susie Mulder joined Timberland in April 2021 after serving as president of Nic + Zoe, per her LinkedIn. The VF spokesperson said Mulder left to pursue another opportunity.
“Susie made many contributions during her time with the brand, and leaves a strong foundation, strategy, and leadership team to move the brand and business forward,” the spokesperson said in an email.
In the interim, the brand will be led by Nina Flood, who currently serves as the vice president and general manager of Timberland EMEA. Flood has been with VF for about 20 years and has held various leadership roles, including president of VF global packs, per the spokesperson.
The news comes as VF is undergoing a series of changes, including new CEO Bracken Darrell and a lineup of new leadership for some of its brands. In its October earnings report for Q2 2024, the company announced it was undergoing a transformation program meant to revitalize its Vans brand and improve its global commercial infrastructure operating model.
Timberland, one of VF’s largest brands, experienced revenue declines in the most recent fiscal quarter, dropping 6.8% to $488.6 million. VF acquired the brand in September 2011. That acquisition was the subject of a legal dispute with the IRS over the timeline of tax payments, which was resolved earlier this year.
