Children’s pajamas sold exclusively on Temu by Fashion Online, Lovely Angel and Juvenno Kids have been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission due to burn hazards, according to multiple filings Thursday.
Each item was recalled because it violated “the flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.” No injuries or incidents were reported for the recalled products.
“The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission sets national flammability safety standards for children's sleepwear to protect children from burn injuries if they come in contact with ignition sources, such as a match or space heater,” according to Consumer Product Safety Commission guidelines. “Under federal safety rules, all children's sleepwear garments sold in sizes larger than nine months must be flame resistant or tight-fitting.”
There were about 45,300 units of the Fashion Online set, which included eight different styles. Some of the pajamas included the phrases “I Love Dad,” “I Love Mom,” “Tutu Awake to Sleep,” and “Lol” in various colors. The sets were sold from October 2022 through May 2024 for about $23.
The Lovely Angel nightgown was sold in six colors, and there were about 4,360 units. They were sold on Temu from June 2023 to May 2024 for about $10.
The Juvenno Kids sets were sold in three colors, and there were about 18,620 units. The sets were sold from October 2022 through May 2024 for about $9.
A Temu spokesperson didn’t respond to questions about the recall in time for publication.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said each online seller was contacting all known purchasers directly.
