Cinq à Sept has launched its first footwear collection, according to a Thursday press release from the brand.
The New York-based ready-to-wear and denim brand debuted the line globally on Nov. 21 with 12 styles including sling-backs, satin heels, ballerina pumps and espadrilles. Materials include leather, denim and raffia, and prices for the resort season collection range from $295 to $485. Shoes are available at the company’s online and New York store, as well as at retailers worldwide.
“Cinq à Sept was founded with the intention of building a lifestyle brand, and this finally felt like the right moment to break into the footwear category,” Jane Siskin, co-founder and co-CEO of Cinq à Sept, said in the release. “We’ve approached our shoes with the same ethos as Cinq à Sept ready-to-wear — on trend but not trendy, always feminine, a little sexy and always timeless.”
The brand’s footwear collection will be designed in New York and made in Brazil, per the release.
“We’re excited to bring something different to the marketplace — something we’ve always been proud of with our fashion,” Siskin said. “We hope our customers love the newness we’re offering and feel heard.”
Cinq à Sept launched in 2016, and last year, the brand expanded into beachwear and opened its New York flagship.
Also in 2023, Cinq à Sept’s parent company Jaya Apparel Group received a strategic investment from private equity firm Brand Velocity Group designed to allow for expanded business opportunities and global expansion efforts, per a release. In addition to Cinq à Sept, Jaya owns contemporary womenswear brand Likely.
Siskin was previously president of private label brand L’Koral Industries, which worked with brands including Disney, MTV, Walmart, Target and Kohl’s. In 2009, along with Jalal El Basri, Siskin launched Jaya and had a multi-year licensing partnership with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s contemporary fashion brand Elizabeth and James.
