The president and chief brand officer of Tommy Hilfiger Global is stepping down from her role this summer, the company confirmed Friday.
Avery Baker, who held the role since 2020, decided to leave the company “to pursue other opportunities,” a spokesperson for PVH Corp., the brand’s parent company, said in a statement. The company didn’t say whether it would seek to replace Baker.
Martijn Hagman continues to oversee the brand as CEO of Tommy Hilfiger Global and PVH Europe.
Baker started with Hilfiger in 1998, holding various positions including chief marketing officer and chief brand officer. She stepped away in mid-2019, saying she wanted to spend more time with her family, before being rehired in November 2020.
In the president role, Baker was responsible for the brand’s products, marketing and customer experiences.
“We appreciate Avery’s contributions to the TOMMY HILFIGER brand — from driving product elevation and iconic brand moments to embracing early on that brands have a responsibility to make a positive impact on our planet and in the lives of our consumers,” the spokesperson said. “We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
At the time of her rehire, the company credited her with reviving the ‘90s-inspired Tommy Jeans label and her contributions to the TommyNow initiative, which makes clothes shown on the runway available for purchase right away. She also landed the company several high-profile partnerships with celebrities and brands, including with Lewis Hamilton, Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Kith and Vetements.
