Authentic Brands Group has partnered with Velocity Global Brands to design, manufacture and distribute Quiksilver women’s apparel in the U.S. and Canada, according to a press release.
The clothing line will feature boardshorts and swimwear, dresses, T-shirts and woven tops, outerwear, denim, knitwear, fleece and sweaters. It will be available this spring at select retailers, per the release.
“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Authentic to bring the Quiksilver women’s line back to life," Chris Laurita, co-CEO of Velocity Global Brands, said in the release. “Through this launch, we will honor Quiksilver’s rich legacy while looking ahead. We will blend surf culture with refined sophistication, bringing the best of the past and future together.”
Authentic bought Quiksilver in 2023 as part of an acquisition deal for the entire Boardriders portfolio, which also included Billabong, Roxy, RVCA, DC Shoes, Element, VonZipper and Honolua.
Last year, Velocity partnered with Authentic to design, manufacture and distribute Lucky Brand workwear in the U.S. and Canada. Velocity also works with Authentic on its Geoffrey Beene brand.
“Velocity has proven time and again its talent for translating brand vision into standout products,” David Brooks, executive vice president of action and outdoor sports and lifestyle at Authentic, said in the release. “We’re eager to work together to drive growth and meet our increasing consumer demand for the Quiksilver brand.”
Quiksilver first introduced its women’s line in 2008 but discontinued it in 2013, as reported by Shop Eat Surf Outdoor. The company’s sister brand, Roxy, launched in 1990 and is exclusively focused on the women’s apparel sector.
